Moray Resource Centre

Many people with Multiple Sclerosis in Moray find the Moray Resource Centre of great value. It provides information, advice and practical services to people with disabilities or those struggling with long term conditions such as MS and is open to all over the age of 16. If the centre is right for you, you may be offered a key worker who will guide you though the services on offer.

The centre has a coffee shop and has a relaxed atmosphere. An informative newsletter is produced a few times a year and can be a good way of keeping up with developments. Users can become volunteers if they want to, helping to "meet and greet" newcomers. There is also a wee garden maintained by volunteers.

The centre has a useful Code of Conduct, based on dignity, respect and equality, geared towards making the place welcoming and supportive for all users.

Also housed within the building is the Disabled Living Centre  - the only one North of Dundee - where you can see a range of aids and equipment which may assist people living with illness or disability. This Centre is now part of the Occupational Therapy service and linked with their Access Team

You can access a vast range of information on disability products by contacting Denise,  the Information Officer, on 01343 551339. The number to access the OTs who are part of the Disabled Living Centre is 01343 559461 which is the same number as that for the OT service.
