Moray Handyperson Service

Moray Handy Person Service is a charity providing help and support to older people and people with disabilities, including those with multiple sclerosis. There is a core staff but services are mostly offered through volunteers. Small DIY tasks and repairs can be carried out when no local family or friends are available.  If you need them or are unsure whether they can help, call the HandyPerson Service on 01343 559739.

The service is based in Elgin but covers the whole of Moray. Their address is

10 Victoria Crescent, Elgin IV30 1RQ.

The Moray Handy Person Service has branched out and now offers other things that will be of interest to people with MS in Moray:

A basic Toenail Clipping service is on offer to those over 50 and unable to cut their own nails. This is not a medical service but the volunteers who do the work have been trained by podiatrists. You may need to visit the Victoria Crescenpremises to take advantage of this free service but home visits can also be arranged.

A Decluttering service will also help you if things become too much and a clear is required. But they won't clear out anything you don't want them to!

They also provide a short term Help at Home service including shopping, dog walking, furniture moving etc. which may be suitable for MSers experiencing a temporary relapse.

Safety Checks on small electrical items such as hairdryers, kettles, toasters and lawnmowers. Better to be safe than sorry.
