Highland Disabled Ramblers

Highland Disabled Ramblers (HDR) is a voluntary organisation that organises regular walks throughout the Highlands and Moray with the needs of disabled people in mind. It is ideal for people with Multiple Sclerosis.

HDR have a number of heavy duty mobility scooters which are available to members making all the outings accessible regardless of the difficulties you may have with your walking.

Membership is £15 for individuals or £20 for a family per year. This is a really friendly organisation. The walks are well researched and checked for suitability before each outing. There are usually toilets to hand and ample parking. The scooters are transported to the start of the walk by van using volunteer drivers and all you need to do is get yourself to the start. There is usually a good mix of disabled people and those who just enjoy a good walk. Recent walks have been at Strathpeffer, Darnaway and Culbin Forest.  There are several others scheduled and there is a new programme each year.

HDR gives people with Multiple Sclerosis and their friends, family and carers opportunities to enjoy the great Highland outdoors. Check their website HERE to find out more and get contact details.
