Here we are in 2014 with quite a lot already in prospect for people with Multiple Sclerosis in Moray. Locally, the next meeting of the Moray MS Support Group is Friday 10th January at 11.00am at the Oaks in Elgin. There will be a speaker on Telehealthcare and all are welcome.

We can also look forward to using the excellent new partnership between the Moray Branch of the MS Society and the Citizens Advice Bureau which provides advice and support on welfare benefits and other issues, tailored to the needs of MSers including home visits if required. For those with Relapse/Remitting MS eligible for drug therapies, 2014 will be a big year as the Scottish Medicines Consortium consider whether to license new drugs including Alemtuzumab. I'll post new information as it appears. You can also be sure that the MS Society's Campaign Unit will be fighting our cause. In the meantime check the excellent MS Trust website HERE

For those with Progressive MS you might be interested in the video below which explains a major drug trial which will be getting up to speed in 2014.

And for those of you who work hard to self-manage their health by exercising and caring for body and soul you might want to come along to the February 14th meeting of the MS Support Group when there will be a taster session of Mindfulness, the secular form of meditation that has a growing reputation as an effective treatment for stress and other health concerns.

And a New Year's resolution that's easy to keep is to regularly check back to the Latest News page of this site to keep abreast of any new developments that we might all benefit from.

Health, (a bit of) Wealth and Happiness to you all!
