Highland Disabled Ramblers

posted 8 Jul 2012, 09:46 by Alan B.
I've just added a page to the site on the Highland Disabled Ramblers (HDR). I joined this wonderful organisation and went for my first walk with them on Friday. They organise walks throughout the Highlands and Moray and bring with them a number of all-terrain mobility scooters for members to use. Here's me on my silver machine at Culbin Forest on what may be the only sunny day of the summer!

Membership is £15 for individuals and £20 for a family per year. Check out their website HERE for more information on how to join and a list of future outings. I'll certainly be going again. The next one is at Abriachan above Loch Ness.

The people at HDR are really friendly and I had canine company too:

Meet Blot the dog!

On another matter, the next meeting of the Moray MS Support Group is on Friday 13th July at 11.00 at the Oaks in Elgin. And don't forget that MS Specialist Nurse, Julie Williams, is on holiday and not back till Tuesday 17th July 2012.
