Good Support Group Meeting!

posted 12 Oct 2012, 10:21 by Alan B.
The Moray MS Support  Group met on 12th October and heard a talk by retired GP Dr Cornelia Featherstone who spoke about the relationship between orthodox medicine and holistic/complementary/ alternative approaches to health. This excellent presentation gave everyone a lot to think about and the key message was for us all to take charge of our own health and wellbeing, to become aware of what helps and does't help, accepting that we are all different, unique human beings. This website aims to give the information and sources of support that can help us to help ourselves. MS is a struggle - life is a struggle - but we can choose to take part in the struggle and not be victims!

The next meeting of the Support Group is Friday 9th November 2012 at 11.00am at the Oaks in Elgin as usual. Speak to the MS Specialist Nurse of you want to know more.

There is a big MS conference (ECTRIMS) going on in France at the moment and there are some interesting short videos HERE if you want to get a flavour of what is going on in the world of MS research
