Another Drug Approval!

posted 18 Sep 2013, 11:46 by Alan B.
Another new drug which may help those with relapse/remitting MS has just been approved by the European Medicines Agency. You can read about it HERE. This is the second drug approved this year so Alemtuzumab and Teriflunomide have both been given the green light in Europe but await approval by NICE in England and Wales and the Scottish Medicines Consortium up here. You can read about these bodies HERE.

So these new treatments aren't available to us yet but progress is being made. These developments make the upcoming MS Society event in Inverness all the more important. Voices for Change - Access to Medicines is the theme of this meeting on October 9th 2013 at the Kingsmills Hotel. Find out more - and book a place - at the MS Society website HERE. I'll be there so why not join me and other local MSers at this free event?
